No breaks, no free lunch (you're expected to watch the kids), pay doesn't compensate for the work, the owner is cheap so you'll be paying the self-employment tax instead of the employee tax. Overall, the facilities aren't good for what the families are paying, and the staff definitely aren't receiving that money. Owner is oblivious and inexperienced.

Unfortunately the owner was very unprofessional. He created a very toxic and unfriendly environment as he would make changes without letting any of the staff know, especially last minute changes that affected both the staff and the students. He was uncommunicative and rude in interactions. Also would lie and manipulate situations. Many times he would give unreasonable explanations and would avoid listening to staff concerns. In addition, promises that were made were never fulfilled and staff concerns were never resolved. Families and staff were not treated with kindness, dignity, or respect. The students’ individual needs were not first priority.
