Pros

If you find yourself in a group with or led by employees who have been there since the early years there is reason and fairness in leadership style. The stock options packages are fair and paying all of the heath insurance cost is a great benefit.

Cons

There has been a rapid influx of new hires at the director level and above. These people don’t do any actual work but come in and yell at everyone and tell them everything they have been doing up until now is wrong. The worst is the chief development officer. She has never once presented a solution to a problem and refuses to hire at the lower levels where people are actually doing the work. Instead she just wants to hire her friends from other companies who have NO IDEA how anything in the company actually works therefore they are essentially a bunch of useless high paid brown nosers. They will do anything she says regardless of if it will actually help the company or not. And don’t even get me started on how out of touch the CEO and president of R&D are. They only care about money and don’t care how they get there. They are making terrible business decisions such as delaying electronic batch records because they are not going with the best product out there and instead trying to avoid a vendor over political reasons. Now the whole company has to suffer so they don’t hurt an executives ego. Dry your tears worn the hundreds of thousands of dollars you are paid and get over it.

Pros

Replimune is a rapidly growing company, which is exciting to be a part of. There are bonuses, stock options and company outings which make it an appealing company to work for. The company buys lunch at least once a week.

Cons

There’s not a lot of stability in day-to-day, week-to-week operations. QC Micro analysts spend probably <25% of their time in the lab. This is not a position for anyone looking to develop their lab skills. Most of the job is just doing paperwork and putting out “fires”. Hard to maintain work life balance with such an unstable schedule.

Pros

Gaining experience from startup, a lot of opportunity for hands on both physically as well as documentation. You are expected to be well rounded, however this means doing a lot of other departments or managements jobs. I met a lot of great people which I am certainly grateful for. There are generally a lot of perks and benefits to working for Replimune, they are very open to flexible scheduling, but this usually means giving more than you're getting in return. Overall I was proud to be apart of the growth of a potentially helpful drug product.

Cons

The company outlook itself is not great, and you can see it in the employees mindsets. Turnover in certain groups were/are specifically high, but not in manufacturing. It was told word of mouth that layoffs were not being considered after the drug was pushed back for commercialization a year. It was a lie, the worst part about this company is upper management as well as management covering up lies. If you're not among the managers/directors favorites, your growth will be stunted greatly and you will essentially be used as a pawn for petty duties. The company has also turned much more cliquey from in comparison to when I began in 2020, and employees pick and choose what they want to help with/be apart. Systems in place at this company are never considered when something goes wrong, it's always about pointing blame to specific operators. After working at a different company, I see just how many things were not run properly or over complicated at Replimune.
