Pros

An amazing and young company. Great work environment and a very supportive team. They get you through the training process fast and load you up with projects as soon as you're ready meaning you get to start making commission within the first few weeks. The seniors as well as the C-level guys are always there to answer questions. Constant team building exercises after work hours for those who want to join as well as lunch parties and bar outings when the company hits its goal for the month. I was entry level, I felt it was a great experience and provided me with the time and tools needed to better develop a number of skills that will be very useful for any future positions. I was there less than a year but that was due to me not fitting the job requirement, the company and environment and people are amazing and very supportive, even as I told them it wasn't for me they continued to show me support and offered to help as I look into next steps.

Cons

Just to be clear none of these are really cons, just things to know so you can be sure it's the job for you. -------- Be prepared for cold calling- it's just part of the job. -------- While there is a base pay, if you're looking to make serious money then the commission is where it's going to be made. The hours can be long but again, it's on commission so the faster you lock in calls the less hours needed, unless you want to keep going for extra commission - this isn't really a con but more so the nature of the business -------- This is a custom recruiting company so be prepared to get creative when searching for new talent, I put this in cons because it does add to the difficult of the job but at the same time it's the reason a number of Ridgetop's clients consider them the best out there when they are looking for quality industry professionals that nobody else finds. --------- Again, not really a con (as this is just the nature of the business, anyone looking into a finance industry business should already be ready for this) but you will be dealing with recruiting people on the west coast, so keep in mind that the end of their work day (6pm) is 9pm here, which can sometimes add to the hours).

Pros

It's a very young office, so it can be a fun place for a first job if you get along with everyone. There are opportunities to advance quickly, but you need to keep asking or you will never receive any rewards. You get to build a very large network of industry contacts.

Cons

Mostly everyone there is a white man, so there isn't much diversity. Management will takes away perks, but doesn't add them. Management makes promises about raises conditional on performance, but won't honor them unless it's in writing. Getting it in writing is pretty awkward. Poor employee retention.
