I have been working at Rockstar Games full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Get to work on main games, lot of exposure, very supportive team and global feedback. Overall till now an excellent learning platform

    Cons

None as of yet, if you crib at grinding work, then this place is not for you. You should rather dive straight in , give more than what is asked and you will find a ton of input and people from whom you can learn tons

"Definitely not a good Team. Stay safe, be aware of NOC. Working there would be injurious to your health and happiness"

I worked at Rockstar Games full-time

    Pros

+It looks good but you realise it is the false environment in NOC +Freestyle work culture of the company but not in NOC +Hike & huge Bonus +World class Facilities +No layoffs even when you don't perform. +No termination even you abuse/ use bad language. +If u need only money +ur survival skills, mental strength will improve

    Cons

    1. The technical stuff is filtered. No knowledge transfer intentionally to keep you dumb enough to show their dominance by leads. 2. Too much manipulation, hypocrisy. No respect. 3. Divide and rule, biased environment, rules, and policies are continuously changing in NOC as per what leads feel better to them instead of the employee or team. 4. Bad leads and middle management 5. Don't trust the leads 6. Worst team management and politics 7. Mostly scrap work, too much copy, paste, and data entry role. 8. Opportunities and growth for favorites 9. Employees are just resources and aren't treated as human 10. The NOC work environment is a place of chaos and false urgency. ( personal urgency of supervisor ) instead of the process or SOP. 11. Leaves are not easy. 12. Every 6 months 1 or 2 people leave the company due to this bad culture. ( Bad leads & Supervisor ) 13. 6 people left the team from the last 2 years due to bad leadership. 14. The manager is aware of these issues and couldn't take any action due to dependency on the Off-site leads. 15. Promotions are based on you being a fav to leads 16. Employe is always blamed for lead mistakes and escalations are to the employee. Appreciation, appraisal to the leads. 17. Not allowed to interact with other teams neither break timings are flexible. 18. Micromanagement by Supervisor, u don't have control over your job or opportunities. 19. Even u complain to HR about all these issues, they subside for a month or so and the leads passively attack you all the time by pointing you via emails and aggression towards you, they find new ways to attack you. 20. Slowly you are projected as aggressive and reduce your opportunities to grow and left alone to move you away from the team. 21. There is no equality, even the company is ready to provide an employee all kinds of support, this was filtered at the lead level, and then it was decided to give to the favorites only. 22. Just for the sake of encouragement, they ask your ideas or stuff, but they don't really care about it unless something damage happens to the business. 23. Unwanted leads to the team, everyone is capable of performing individually and monitor the stuff, don't understand why they need two leads ( also a supervisor ) 24. Do the leads really work? or pretend? u can get answers from the team itself or u can see it for yourself.

I worked at Rockstar Games full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was great to work on some of the biggest projects in the gaming industry. There is good scope to learn a new skill/workflow, but after that, it tends to get very monotonous.

    Cons

Felt let down by the management and the dept lead, as there was a clear stink of favoritism in the air. The environment dictatorial in nature.
