I worked at Russell Investments full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Russell still has great benefits. Retirement contributions are still better than most companies. It is a good place for someone early in their career.

    Cons

Seasoned professionals will get frustrated quickly here. Most people are over worked and there is not much support for career development. There seems to be a general lack of accountability among management. Employees who have been there a while are just trying to survive. There is a lot of uncertainty among employees around stability of the company.

I worked at Russell Investments full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits for every level of employee. Company provides employees access to higher education and genuinely puts a focus on their people. It's not just lip service. They really mean it.

    Cons

Business units are silos and the company has not done a good job of creating one central data repository for their global business. Data is data, assets are assets, clients are clients. Doing business where every region has a different process is inefficient and frustrating.
