I worked at Ryanair full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Get in the aviation, valuable experience.

    Cons

Current management really not supportive. Lots of work, only nights, Line Maintenance ( but 5 nights on 3 days off shift scheme).. exhausting, lots of responsibilities for which the salaries do not balance it at all, nor your life work balance as well. After nearly three years (the salary has only been raised last year in October, it was punishing 18k before) I've fallen in near state of depression and constant... feeling low status. Manager wants you in the office anytime they like to, completely disregarding the fact you just done a 10 hour night shift. Disciplinary hearings for a signle mistake not even related to the job itself. Disregarding your history in the company.

    Advice to Management

Cabins are parts of the aircraft, not a matter of some appearance department which then makes their own rules, making the job discriminating, making pity rules to create unhealthy tension inside the team. Absolutely wrong management. On top of that, everyone weighted on by disciplinary hearing option if anything goes wrong, which makes people already tired or fatigue even more nervous. There isn't even... competent salary to weight it out. My advice to management is to step down and leave it to people who knows what they doing.
