      Amazing company to work for

      Pros

This company has been a dream to work for. The company provides a plethora of resources and benefits to keep the employees happy, there are tons of tools available to further your own development and learn different skills. Every single employee I have interacted with has been extremely helpful and willing to share knowledge, and my direct bosses and other directors within the company are all very open and approachable. I highly recommend S&P to anyone looking for work. Management of the company is always hosting meetings explaining what is going on and the direction of the company in the long term.

      Cons

Being completely honest, I have no cons. My experience has been nothing short of amazing.

Not good for hard working , good for smart who does not work and only showoff

      Pros

This is good in providing employee benefits like PF, Gratuity, Leaves etc.

      Cons

Management is really very bad especially at Ahmedabad technology department. People having no knowledge , who were sacked in previous company due to performance issues are being promoted due to biasness in review process. If you do X and show you did 100X and do some politics then only you'll get good bonus or promotion otherwise do not expect anything. In terms of technology here company has its own framework in which you'll have to work only in XML and little bit of SQL. No new technology. If there is any you'll only get chance if you are near and dear ones of the managers and senior leaders. Literally senior managers / directors are instructing junior managers not to utilize her 100% bonus budget and give back them 30 to 40 % so that they can give it to their near and dear ones. Do not expect any career growth here.

Not bad but not good who wants to work sincerely and excel in their career.

      Pros

Work life balance. Employee friendly policies . Sufficient leaves for maintaining work life balance. All the things which are directly being managed from US is great.

      Cons

At Ahmedabad Product Development department management is at its worst. No growth for sincere employees, who are just bol bachans are getting promoted and receiving huge amounts of money in bonus. Lots of favoritism for people who just praises associated directors. No growth in terms of technology as well, because only selected people gets chance to work in new technology. Even if you do lots of good things no one will appreciate but if their favorite person just resolves a small bug he gets lots of appreciation from managers to associate directors. This culture is really not suitable to a great brand like S&P Global as if this continues talented people will leave the organization. This is also against pay for performance policy.

People first company but getting derailed from the philosophy

      Pros

Company has gone extra mile to support employees during Covid pandemic. Trust, Transparency, integrity and Stability is the key here.

      Cons

In recent times company got derailed from its philosophy, mentioned in Pros section. While Company has done great in employee support during Covid but created a lot of grey areas in production floor where employees has no clarity what will happen in future. Some of the key points: 1. Lost transparency in communication. There are ample of avenues where employee can see difference between what is communicated and what is practiced. Specially in Technology Team. 2. Very less focus on employee career. Decisions are taken in a way that employees profile got hit and become less relevant to market. 3. Decisions are taken in silos. 4. Continuous changes impacting on delivery and creating unsettling situation for employees. 5. Domain expertise is not respected rather an employees are just considered as headcount. 6. Senior leaders are not able to connect to the vision which is direct impact of employees motivation and vision. 7. On the face of it, it clearly seems to be power game between geographies. And employees are paying the cost. All of above are resulting in high attrition and unsatisfied employees.

Let's you balance work and personal life!

Jun 7, 2021 - Assistant Manager in Ahmedabad

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The company has both the values 'Client First' and 'Employee First', which sounds like there would be some imbalance in either but, they surely know to balance both the values. -Stands true to their philosophy of 'Employee First' -Flexible working hours -Leave benefits -Most of the leadership is really good and empathetic -Various support groups for careers, mental health and others -COVID Support - not just the current employees but, some benefits are extended to alumni too -Alumni also have access to internal learning platform

      Cons

Overall, it is a nice experience where you enjoy working and learning. I think the growth is little slow and monetary rewards/ salary and shift allowances are little less yet it is the best one to work in Ahmedabad.

      Pros

      1. Good Work LIfe 2. Leaves 3. Cab 4. Culture and employee

      Cons

      1. No Job Security - they fired 1000 employees in Feb 2021. 2. No Learning, It's very difficult to find a job outside 3. Cultural issue, some teams having employees from different geographical locations of India and they are using their own language rather than English as s medium of communication, and obviously favoritism also there based on that. 4. Fewer promotions, initially they give you a good salary but later no growth 5. They are promoting we are great to work based on some international firms rating, Okay you are.. where was the title when you fired 1000 employee during the pandemic?? Even you were in profits 6 I worked for more than 5 years for the firm and suddenly one day you decided to fire without any advance notice, it was very stressful to manage such a situation in pandemic.
