I have been working at SAI Global full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The community is great. The office is nice. Pretty flexible on how you work as long as it gets done. Working with folks is very fun.

    Cons

Training is not equal on across all departments. New hires in management positions really suffer, as there lacks enough senior management that takes the time to train their team, the other teams suffer for this, as mistakes trickle down the line.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your team is properly trained. Management positions are super important for those that depend on them, and their mistakes makes work miserable.

I worked at SAI Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people that I worked closely with were generally excellent and very supportive.

    Cons

Senior Management seem to change their opinions with the wind and operate a "Donald Trump" style of leadership. Lack of ANY relevant product development for local markets, SAI Global does not respond to client expectations/needs. Very high staff turnover which results in increased workloads for those left behind as the vacancies are rarely filled.

    Advice to Management

There appears to be plenty of "Seagull Management" in SAI Global, this needs addressing urgently before even more people leave. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out over the next 12-18 months.

I have been working at SAI Global full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good coffee machine, newspapers in kitchen to read

    Cons

New senior management team have instilled a bullying and blame culture. Used to have a few laughs but not anymore. No governance. New CFO has no idea and is demanding, arrogant and unappreciative Bullies in the senior management team who like putting people down. If they are stressed, you get that stress magnified 10 fold and there is alot of pressure to achieve

    Advice to Management

Beware the culture that you are creating of the end justifies anything.

I have been working at SAI Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the best colleagues that I have had the pleasure to work with, who unfortunately seem to be contemplating leaving in the near future. Ability to work from home if required, dependent on the manager that you have and if they agree.

    Cons

Senior management have little to no direction No incentive scheme and very difficult to negotiate pay rises due to new owners Recruitment is very poor

    Advice to Management

Value your dedicated and hard working staff more and act on concerns when they are raised.

I worked at SAI Global for more than a year

    Pros

Stable-ish business with lots of running room for growth & opportunity. Some very talented people work there who just need to be given the freedom (& funding) to innovate

    Cons

Very slow moving to change and innovate. Competitors who are more nimble are getting ahead. Suffers from a bit of cronyism. People who have no business in certain projects making decisions because their opinion is valued by senior leadership. Have made some interesting senior management choices - giving the impression that just trying to fill positions without considering overall fit or aptitude for role.

    Advice to Management

Innovate, Innovate, Innovate and be quick about it.

I have been working at SAI Global full-time

    Pros

Has an excellent range of services and solutions for its customers, with an excellent bunch on people generally across the lower ranks of the business.

    Cons

Absolute clueless regional senior management, with no idea as to how to run a successful business and this includes all senior managers. Don't ever expect to be able to approach even the HR function for any issues. You will be asked to leave.

    Advice to Management

The company preaches Governance, Risk and Compliance yet fails miserably in practising this themselves.

I have been working at SAI Global full-time

    Pros

Really smart and dedicated people work here, in both Alpharetta and Waltham. They take great pride in quality work. Very flexible about work habits.

    Cons

The pride in work quality doesn't work it's way up the chain of command. Senior management is very unfocused, confused and make really odd decisions. They are very removed from what we do, and seem to make decisions based on very general assumptions. They've wasted a lot of time and money on projects that have been scrapped.

    Advice to Management

Learn the business! Skills can be transferable, but only successfully if you know the business to which you are transferring them. Their org. structure is very odd, placing people win a position of management with not even a passing familiarity (or any level of curiosity) with what they oversee.

I worked at SAI Global full-time

    Pros

The people working at the coalface (well, what is left of them). The morale and sense of team spirit that existed prior to recent reorganisations.

    Cons

Senior management. Best summed up by the crass irony of an initiative entitled "Better Together" that involves numerous redundancies. An insight into the short-sightedness and lack of respect you can expect. In the area I worked in employee morale has dropped off a cliff. Sorry to have to say it but the turning point does seem to be the appointment of the current CEO and the beginning of his reorganisation.

    Advice to Management

    1) The core values you are trying to introduce are very commendable, but if you want them to be taken seriously you have to act in a way that demonstrates them. 2) Resign and hope your successors are capable of clearing up the mess you are making.
