I have been working at SIDBI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

1)Best salary among the government institutions
    2)Wide area of work
3)You make good connections with industry people and get the knowledge of different industries.

    Cons

    1)No work life balance
2)You have to sit late in the office to please your seniors and if you want promotions than you have to oblige but if you just think that you are doing work efficiently in the designated hours and more than the others who are sitting late than just leave it to your luck that you get promotions and do work and leave on time to have some life apart from office

    Advice to Management

Don't force juniors to sit late in office. They have the potential to complete the work assigned in designated hours and yes they do have a life outside the office.

I have been working at SIDBI full-time

    Pros

Salary and perks & benefits are at par with RBI and NABARD.
    Job security being govt organisation

    Cons

    Work culture is pathetic.
No growth as promotion are rare thing here
Learning stops after sometime as desk rotation rarely happens.
    work pressure is high
No stability in terms of place as transfers are frequent.

    Advice to Management

Please do not ask suggestions from branches and if you really wanted to bring some changes then experience it by working at the lowest level. Bring some changes in softwares being used as people are struggling with your outdated softwares.

I have been working at SIDBI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

1.Salary at par with NABARD and RBI
    2. Head Office postings are relatively stress free

    Cons

    1.Outdated and archaic Practices
    2.Inflated Egos of higher management
3.Postings depend upon whims and fancies of HR
    4. If you think that branch posting in SIDBI could be any better compared to commercial banks then you are mistaken,it's even worse
5.Pathetic work culture and pervasive blame game culture.
6.Join this organisation only if you have no other options.

    Advice to Management

There is a huge difference in terms of work load and pressure between branches and at HO.The high handedness of HO people for no reason is irksome.
People who are asked to head the branches have not worked at the lower managerial levels

One of the best places to work. Good staff. The entire atmosphere of working there was awesome. The managers, assistant managers and everyone support you and make you feel like home there. They encourage you and guide you.

No cons as such. Just some minor issues. They don't give much work to interns.
