    I have been working at SITA full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Global firm with wide array of products. Great people to work with.

    Cons

    Heavily bureaucratic, very slow decision making. Often behind the curve with offerings needed or wanted by the customer. Badly understaffed at present.

    We are proud of our products but more than that we are proud of our employees. One of the big focus of the transformation program, we have in place, is to simplify processes, be more efficient so we can focus more on our customers and their needs. Thank you for sharing your opinion here so we can adapt and do more.

    I worked at SITA

    Pros

    Good benefits. Nice People. International exposure. Travel opportunities and perks. Good working conditions. Flexible work hours. Diverse company profile with many product lines.

    Cons

    Conservative management with strong inertia opposing change. Does not invest enough in new products and it is slowly losing relevance in market where new internet-based technologies are becoming the norm. Global spread but very centralized decision making process makes it painfully slow to get any new initiatives or ideas approved/bought into.

    I have been working at SITA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Family friendly (flexible working is being tolerated a lot); Some experienced and knowledgeable colleagues from all professions; Interesting work and plenty of oportunity for creative solutions;

    Cons

    Geographically very spread out activities, fielded by way too little permanent employees, which accounts for a heavy work-load, much jugling and some cutting of corners. There are many contractors yes, but this ends up being more costly to the company than if they had higher head-count; Complicated operations and solutions, due to history, makes operating whithin the company challenging at times; A bit heavy and bureaucratic corporate decision making procedures;
