Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Like many businesses, the ongoing global health crisis has meant a change to the way we work. This doesn’t make it easy to say goodbye to friends and colleagues though.

    Pros

Not too overly complex work; like the work environment and coworkers.

    Cons

The leadership has no idea and creates old Brits club. Director above all coming from Britain. The global team lives in cloud 9 and does not support local what so ever.

It’s great to hear that the working environment and your colleagues are some of your favourite things about working with us. As an international business, we have expat communities all over the globe and celebrate the value that diversity adds to our business. Earlier this year, we launched a brand-new strategy to ensure we continue to have an inclusive culture and environment for all. Thank you for getting in touch.

I worked at SThree full-time for more than a year

    Pros

SThree is an excellent place to work. The family culture and supportive working environment made it a pleasure to come to work everyday. The people that SThree hire are a credit to the company and are really valued by people at all levels. Working for SThree has provided me with a massive stepping stone in my career and allowed me to grow and develop different skillsets from day one. They are very inclusive and collaborative company and always had time to help you progress everyday. The managers act like your friends and counterparts rather than building a hierarchy and this really shapes the company culture and values that SThree possess. I feel like I am leaving family behind and the decision did not come easily when I decided to leave. If you join SThree, be reassured you have a bright future ahead of you if you work hard and have the determination to succeed.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons to add to this company as I genuinely didn't have a bad experience. I suppose if I was to nit pick I would say that the base salary could be a little higher to get things moving as everyone progresses at a different pace and if you are motivated by money this could be something to think about.

I worked at SThree full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I worked at SThree for 4 years out of college, and I wouldn't trade my experience there for anything. It has a great training program and many exceptional people. The earning potential and opportunity to grow into management is very strong if you apply yourself and stick with it. It's not typical to be able to become a manager in a large business 2-3 years out of college, but SThree presents that opportunity. There are very frequent discussions with your manager about your strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations, so you need to be open to coaching/constructive criticism. The culture is fun and everyone who works here seems to make several great friends. The job is difficult and will definitely test your confidence at times, but the skills you develop will benefit you the rest of your career. There is also a great opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and implement positive changes in the office if you are proactive. People complain about a 'drinking culture' and 'lack of diversity' but SThree has made positive strides in these areas. They have also developed a more flexible working environment while still keeping their principles of hard work and accountability. Also - the office space is beautiful and work hours aren't bad. You will get out what you put in, so those who are focused between 8-5, or put in the extra hours, will do better. Although it is a numbers driven environment, these metrics are created for a reason and will lead to success.

    Cons

Turnover is extremely high. This job isn't for everyone and it will require a great deal of perseverance to be successful. The management style can be "micro" but that is often what it takes to be successful in this job, especially considering most of the employees are fresh grads. Like any business there are pockets with stronger and weaker management, but there are plenty of resources to get support. The low base salary in a hot job market like San Francisco means struggling employees may jump ship before seeing success. Clients are sometimes badgered by multiple consultants in our contracts/permanent businesses & an aggressive business development strategy, which can harm relationships/reputation.

I worked at SThree full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-transparent career progression; more seniority = more flexibility -good commission scheme compared to other companies of the same size (check the systems to ensure you're receiving the correct amount of commission; this can be changed by management without your knowledge) -independent working environment; you'll learn a lot about work ethic and navigating a highly political work environment in pursuing success. -401(k) matching and insurance options -some (few, but you can find them) genuinely wonderful people

    Cons

-To Women: harassment is normal and normalized. they have initiatives around fixing this, but you'll regularly hear things like, "how's the talent?" and "XXX's [insert body part] looks amazing today" among more inappropriate harassment that happens at the incentive events. Some truly filthy email chains circulate about women in the office.. -HR will not act about most discrimination/harassment claims (not just sexual harassment) unless you either follow up consistently (documentation is key) and/or threaten legal action. -For Women: High deductible medical plan only allows either annual check up OR OB/GYN visit. -if you don't fit the "work hard, play hard" mold, life is just harder. Most people socialize a lot within the company, and it does help mediocre performers get promoted more quickly. -Heavy drinking and partying environment. -respect is earned, and people are sometimes treated with contempt until they prove themselves. -leaving the company can be taken very personally; I've had friends who were given the middle finger by executives on their last day. -unprofessional, gossip-driven environment.
