      Pros

Three things: Culture, Culture, Culture! It's amazing to see their investment into culture despite fast paced growth.

      Cons

US Product company yet to make strides and create a brand for itself within India market. It still has some way to go to get to the brand, impact and stature it has in North America, Europe and some of the APAC countries.

Still a lot of opportunity to learn, connect, and chart your own course, but Big Company culture is encroaching.

      Pros

I've spent over 8 years with Salesforce in various management and individual contributor roles, all customer or partner facing. Some of the pros: - vibrant, fast paced culture - smart, fun, aggressive colleagues - management is focused on latest tech trends and staying or becoming a leader for many of them - by and large, customers and partners are very positive about the technology - good benefits and perqs - hip urban culture at HQ - a chart-your-own-course mentality that rewards those who aggressively seek out the job they want and pursue it, or sometimes even create it

      Cons

After my long tenure and many Dreamforce conferences, I'm nearly fried. To say the culture is fast paced and the focus is always changing is an understatement. The reason Salesforce always seems on top, and chasing the latest trend, and in the press, is because employees are expected to run harder, carry more, cheer loudly, and pivot constantly. It's the world's biggest startup in behavior. But at the same time, with the recent influx of top career sales leaders from Oracle and what appears to be a board-level mandate for doubling revenue, employees are being asked to do even more with even less, fill higher quotas with smaller territories, less help, and the big company bureaucracy is rearing it's ugly head. Worse still is the politics. When you hire a bunch of smart, aggressive people, and put them in an environment of outsized expectations, throw in a bunch of re-orgs and changing management, and sprinkle with uncertainty and constantly changing priorities, you inevitably get people back stabbing each other and throwing others under the bus to appear smarter and more worthy of promotion. The few at the top will get very, very rich. The rest will lose the sense of personal ownership and start to wonder why they've given up health and family

Amazing place to work for growth in Digital Transformation

      Pros

Incredibly bright colleagues, some super sales managers, culture that is genuinely innovative. This is a terrific place to learn from the leaders on how to run a sales organisation in tech. Senior leadership is very vocal about the mission and the values of the business and this does trickle down to the teams for the most part. The tech we sell is some of the best in the world and it is fun to be part of such a forward thinking fast paced business.

      Cons

      (1) The territory carve process at the start of the year, whilst quicker than other companies (which is good) often leaves sellers and managers fighting over accounts. (2) The red tape when it comes to needing support on things like complex quoting, permissions and credit splits. AEs sometimes finding themselves having to fight just to get the credit on the deals they've sold. (3) A lot of focus on activities as a means to indicating outcomes. Measuring phone calls, meeting invites - lots of pressure on this which can sometimes take away from the strategic engagement with accounts

The company that really cares about their employees

Jul 29, 2020 - Senior Recruiter in Dublin, Dublin

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Colleagues - Not only does Salesforce hire the best people for the job but the people with the right cultural values of the company. There is a good fun working environment here Leadership - The Dublin leadership is very open and transparent - there are regular updates via email, internal comms as well as monthly video calls. Benefits - There are unique benefits to support you and your family - excellent healthcare coverage as well as a wellness benefit where you can expense back any activities that are related to keeping healthy. Salary - Above market rate Culture - it's a company that really does care about its employees. If you genuinely need help and you speak up there are so many supports in place to assist you. Not only at work but also at home.

      Cons

The speed of the business is fast-paced and the never-ending change isn't for everyone. But with change comes opportunity and I have worked previously in companies where the same people stay in the same jobs for years on years. At Salesforce it's never the case of if a position comes up for your next move it's all about if you are ready to make the next step.

      Extremely fast paced, great culture

      Pros

Salesforce has a special culture that keeps employees around for a very long time. Several people have been there 10+ years and are still proud to work there. Great benefits, perks, and forward thinking. Some of my favorite memories were not about the work but all the fun I had there (concerts, volunteering, celebrity speakers, etc)

      Cons

Very fast paced which can make it hard to keep up. Can feel like a start up still as everyone is constantly trying to innovate: products, processes, programs. All the change makes it hard to perfect.

Great company and suite of products

Sep 30, 2020 - Program Manager in Indianapolis, IN

      Pros

      - Plenty of opportunities in a myriad of departments and domains - Fast paced work environment - Constant evolution of products and services

      Cons

      - "Big Business" hiring and promotion policies may limit your growth potential (you can't skip pay grades while working at SFDC) - In order to affect change, you either need to be in the right role or have resources that are in those roles who are accountable to you. For example, if you have been asked to implement a system improvement, it's going to take months or years because of all the interplay between departments. - I found myself doing a lot of ticket filing so someone else could do work that I could do myself, simply because that's the way the systems and access levels were set up.
