Pros
Meeting new people (but hey you can get that at most jobs). Free t shirts..snacks in the break room sometimes. Raffles
Cons
Raffles, t shirts and snacks in the break room are in lieu of raises and bonuses. Unless you’re absolutely breaking your back for the company you’ll go unnoticed. A great way to climb the ladder at Sendiks is to be favored by the higher ups, so make sure you have a great personality and can kiss up if you’d like to get somewhere. I’ve worked for Sendiks for many years and I know my job and I do it well but that’s never mattered to them. Seeing other reviews on here tells me I’m not the only one who’s noticed the trend

Good experience but high turnover

Many of the employees were very friendly and a joy to work with. And there are many valuable skills in this job that are applicable to other jobs. Valuable experience for someone who's young and looking for something new.
Cons
High employee turnover, many people would come and go. Hard to establish rapport with fellow employees.

Cons
This company is GREAT for taking advantage of good hardworking people. They look the other way when there's issues in the Dept. None of them want to address issues with problem employees, it's easier for them to just ignore the problem even though it creates a hostile environment. Giving titles to people who clearly are not deserving of even after they step down,but keep the title and pay even though they aren't doing the job they got the title and pay for. It's brought up to managers about unfairness, but nothing is done about it, really sad.

Pros
Met some great friends, extra pay for working holidays, decent management--my store director and deli manager are amazing, fairly simple tasks, quick to pick up on what is being asked of you, flexible hours, good pay increases, given the option to learn other departments, I liked being here and there were many days that were a lot better than the bad ones (continued in the cons)

Can have somewhat negative/toxic work environment depending on the people, fellow employees refusing to help customers, HR did not take serious complaints, when the manager isn't there it was chaotic and others put themselves in the manager role when it was not assigned, was forced to work in/close the meat department because their employees all left one night--I did not know what I was doing, also a huge one: was NOT trained for my department at all!! Continuing off of what I mentioned in the pros: there were many times that the other employees made it not a great place to work--lots of drama, ignoring customers, acting like they are superior to the people in the exact same position as them
