Pros
Somewhat Flexible hours, company van
Cons
MicroManagement is extreme. If you are a go getter this company will take advantage of you and will work you harder then others in your position. You are supposed to leave your last job between 5 and 6 then drive home which may be an hour away. Also you are expected to be furthest away from your home by 8:30 so be an early riser. So basically weekly home life is a minimum. Orlando Inspectors for the most part are unhappy with their direct manager but we are to afraid to lose our jobs to say anything. Finally upper management is all about themselves if they need something done that benefits them. They will call you late in the afternoon to go do something even if that means driving over an hour away and not finishing to drive home until 7pm. Stay away if you are in Orlando.

Unorganized company with under-qualified "Managers" scamming builders/homeowners
9 Mar 2017 - Field Service TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I got a free trip to Florida for two weeks for "training".
Cons
The company is an unorganized disaster from top to bottom. The managers are under-qualified for their positions, and would not be in any managerial position at most other companies. This leads to constant miscommunication, improper scheduling, and unrealistic expectations being placed on field-level employees. As a result, field level employees are forced to rush, and are rarely able to report accurately to the builder-clients. Essentially, Skytec's M.O. is fraud. In my tenure at Skyetec, not a single day went by when there weren't inaccurate reports given to customers as a result of Skyetec's over-scheduling me. Other field-level employees reported the same experiences. The turnover rate is so high that there are constantly people training and learning the system, which means there are constantly mistakes being made with scheduling, reporting, field testing, etc. During my tenure, most employees quit shortly after being fully trained, if not before.
