I have been working at Skyworks Solutions full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good wages, ok typical benefits.

    Cons

Old crowed buildings, converted warehouses with lots of cubicles. Crowded labs everywhere with scant equipment. NO upward advancement, No learning except what they deem necessary to do your job. No working your way up at all in the hierarchy. Good for a solid cheque every two weeks, that IS ALL! You'll never learn anything new to help your carreer.

I worked at Skyworks Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Can't think of any, Walkable from MRT, perhaps.

    Cons

No appreciating work of administrative staff, only production and engineering departments get all the special promotions that are fast-tracked without the need for validation. No culture.

I worked at Skyworks Solutions full-time for less than a year

    Pros

1.Short commute distance. 2.Low bar to get recruited.

    Cons

There is a very low return rate (probably ~0%?) back to the team from co-ops and interns. Below are my observations during more than half year there: 1.The leadership expects the team to do exactly in the same way even though it’s wrong. In their claims, doing things exactly in the same way is 100 times more important than doing things right. If the mistakes happen, they owe the responsibility to the other functional teams. 2.The majority of the full-time team members don’t know anything. They undermine the others’ contributions by taking advantage of the facts that the managers are not technical. They even made fake data to get credits. They gossip the peers to promote themselves, and the managers like to see. 4.The work there is repeated,so it’s not a good place for the junior engineers to learn. You can get this point when observing the full-time engineers, who know the company flow, but not the circuit design. 5.The managers only consider how to flatter senior executives to get promoted for themselves, but they neglect engineers’ own interest. For example, they asked people to work overtime, but didn’t want them to request their deserved overtime pay for non-exempted employees. Sometimes, they even did something that only hurt employees’ interest, even though no people got any benefit.
