I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Absolutely NOTHING!! Waste of time and energy. Would rather work at a fast food restaurant!!

    Cons

If you want to kiss up to your boss, be spoken to like a 13 year old, be a pushover and accept that your boss is fine with employees being disrespectful, than this job is perfect for you! Boss was never there and when she came had no idea what was going on. She would run around in circles asking all these questions. She puts all of her work on you. No organization, direction or support -things changed every day after...

I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefit time, encourages learning within the company, many discounts

    Cons

Terrible pay scales (only can advance to a certain $ amount within your career) managers are expected to work non stop without breaks & spread way too thin.

    Advice to Management

Have an HR rep available for sites within 30 miles that employees can go to.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Excellent benefits, healthcare training is excellent.

    Cons

Campus HR is a joke, managing by bullying is encouraged, poor salary growth and it’s nearly impossible to get training.

    Advice to Management

Ask questions, talk to employees, figure out what’s going on around you before making decisions.

I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are a few really good people who do actually care

    Cons

The communication is like a kindergarten game of telephone. The opportunity for advancement is minimal. The raise percentage is the same no matter how you score on your review. The only time you hear from upper management is when they are making shoot from the hip changes that are often idealistic instead of realistic and even then the information comes piece mail. If you have any concerns the answer is always " we...

I worked at Sodexo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have good Medical and 401k

    Cons

company does not back up their managers at all. If a non management worker is written up and not doing their job, the employee says that they are being treated unfairly and are being harassed. The company ALWAYS takes the employee side and not the managers

    Advice to Management

    Grow a backbone.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Their paychecks clear when I go to the bank.

    Cons

No support from upper management. If a frontline employee complains about you as a manager, HR will ALWAYS blame you. The more you work the less they respect you. They always speak about work/life balance, but they do not practice it. The frontline employees get raises only when the State minimum wage increases.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees. Pay them a living wage.

I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

ok benefits, no long term opportunities

    Cons

Management is awful! Good ol' boy network. When Sodexo receives complaints from the client about their managers they do not hold the manager accountable!! They just move the manager to another account. No wonder they are losing accounts to the competition.

    Advice to Management

Hold your managers accountable, stop protecting managers.

    I worked at Sodexo

    Pros

Salary was okay, Not worth the amount of hours however

    Cons

Hours were close to 70 a week, not what was presented upon employment. Also spoke to HR once and was then promptly given a "talking to" about going to HR. 0 training was given.
