I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Absolutely NOTHING!! Waste of time and energy. Would rather work at a fast food restaurant!!

    Cons

If you want to kiss up to your boss, be spoken to like a 13 year old, be a pushover and accept that your boss is fine with employees being disrespectful, than this job is perfect for you! Boss was never there and when she came had no idea what was going on. She would run around in circles asking all these questions. She puts all of her work on you. No organization, direction or support -things changed every day after...

Former Employee - Food Service Supervisor in Leesburg, FL

I worked at Sodexo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Offer ok benefits and decent pay. Sick time starts to accumulate from day one and 1 week paid vacation first year.

    Cons

Management did not communicate very well.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should consider the opinions of their Frontline managers before deciding to make any changes since they are the ones who are more familiar with the customer's interests and needs.

I worked at Sodexo part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great exposure in corporate food service - Had a lot of "all access" throughout the building vs. other staff(s) - Pretty good with PTO and switching shifts if you have conflictive availability - Work hard pays off--once you gain respect from your staff and prove yourself, your job becomes easier and somewhat more tolerable attitude wise

    Cons

    - Your suggestions/advice almost never followed/taken seriously - Not appreciated, more expectations with your job despite the description on your application - Any future opportunity isn't promoted, you need to approach them about EVERYTHING - (Cont.): credentials, courses given to staff for FREE at our workplace was never advertised. Any changes made on a day you (by chance) weren't working, upper management doesn't...

    Advice to Management

Listen to all of your staff, take responsibility and provide solutions to ongoing issues (if applicable) and promote all of them! Push your staff to do better, gain credentials, take courses and offer incentives to your staff or within your management.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great environment to work in at my location. The pay is decent, and they have good benefits as well, including health care, eye care, dental, life insurance, and 401k

    Cons

At campus locations, during summers there is often a lack of work and/or you are laid off, and you will be laid off during Christmas break, which is probably the worst possible time to not have a steady check coming in.
