Pros

Strong and stable product foundation with real customer impact Talented, skilled, and experienced employees across teams Exposure to global projects and international stakeholders

Cons

I have been with Solifi for some time, and the organization continues to have a strong product foundation and capable teams. However, recent changes have created a sense of uncertainty for many employees. The ongoing transition, including a greater reliance on external vendors, has raised concerns about role clarity and long‑term alignment for internal teams. There is a perception that some strategic responsibilities are increasingly handled by external partners, which has led to questions around ownership, engagement, and internal career growth. Clearer communication on how internal teams contribute to the company’s long‑term plans would be helpful in addressing these concerns. Employees have expressed concerns that communication from technology leadership lacks sufficient clarity and consistent engagement. While high‑level topics are shared, additional transparency, context, and open dialogue could help teams better understand workforce planning and future expectations. This has contributed to reduced confidence and some uncertainty regarding long‑term career paths within the organization.

Pros

The company still has strong products, talented people, and a solid foundation. Some teams continue to do meaningful work, and peers are generally supportive of one another during this transition. With the right leadership approach, the organization has the potential to recover and move forward positively.

Cons

Since the recent CTO leadership change, the overall direction of the organization has felt very different, and unfortunately not in a positive way. Many long‑time employees have found the transition difficult and unsettling. There has been a noticeable shift toward bringing in third‑party vendors and external teams, while internal team members, some with years of experience and deep system knowledge have been gradually sidelined. In several cases, internal employees felt pressured to leave, which has negatively impacted morale and trust across teams. Layoffs and uncertainty have also added to the stress. Decisions often feel rushed and top‑down, with limited transparency or explanation to the teams most affected. Many employees feel their contributions and loyalty are no longer valued, and there is a growing sense of insecurity about job stability. Communication could be significantly improved. Feedback from internal teams does not always seem to be taken into account, and there is a lack of empathy during what is already a challenging period for many employees.

Pros

Strong legacy team with capable individuals Opportunities to work on impactful projects Established processes in certain departments

Cons

In recent months, there has been a noticeable shift in leadership approach at the executive level, particularly within the technology function. The current CTO’s leadership style appears misaligned with the organization’s previously collaborative and people-focused culture. Communication from leadership often feels top-down, with limited openness to feedback or differing perspectives. This has led to reduced morale within teams, as employees feel their voices are not always heard or valued. There is also a perceived lack of emphasis on people management teams would benefit from more empathetic leadership, clearer guidance, and active support for employee growth. Additionally, there seems to be an increasing reliance on third-party vendors without sufficient integration with internal teams, which has impacted collaboration and ownership. This shift has contributed to fragmentation and reduced accountability across projects. Overall, the workplace culture has become more strained, with concerns around respect, transparency, and alignment with organizational values.
