Just a number
11 Feb 2021 - Production Operator in Pencoed, WalesRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Couldn’t fault the people I worked with they were really friendly and could sometimes be fun to work with. Couldn’t fault the pay. Some of the team leaders were helpful and nice. Pretty much all the jobs there are easy.
Cons
Management see you as a number on a page and not as a person. Seems as if you are agency that you are treated slightly different compared to fully contracted Sony employees which I thought was unfair. Training of staff could be more consistent. Keeping up staff morale doesn’t seem important to some of the team leaders and management. Communication between everyone could be a lot better. Not a stable job as some days you had to take off unpaid or pay the hours back as there was no work. (This happened very often) Extremely strict with any sort of time off whether that’s genuine sickness or holidays etc. Hardly any opportunity for overtime and even when there is opportunity for overtime it almost always gets cancelled. Long hours, jobs can be tedious and very boring.
