Pros
Part time drivers can set their own schedules for the most part, driving around alone is nice
Cons
Very difficult to claim shifts, the $1 above minimum wage doesn't come close to making up for the wear and tear on your car, no more employee meals (not even cookies!), the new 25 hour minimum sucks. Working for Sprig used to be great but now that the perks have been removed the entire vibe has changed.

Pros
Flexible schedule, free food, pay for parking tickets, relatively easy job This job is somewhat easy to do. Pretty laid back job. You are an w-2 employee not an independent contractor. Get to see all the cool area around SF. No boss breathing down your neck.
Cons
Low pay, short hours, some areas are too stressful to deliver to due to parking nightmare. Wear and tear your car, NO TIP at all from customers. Plus the app performance timer rating system. This gig really isn't worth the mileage you put on your car as well as the time you spend delivering to so many places. Some delivery will have you driving over 8 miles and back just to deliver one small cookie/drink to a customer. Delivering to down town area is a nightmare due to parking and customer location. You will almost never work a full 3.5 hours because they give you like 8 meals to deliver and if you drag it out to get a little more time, you will get a call from management telling you your performance is sub par. So you basically finish all your deliveries in 1.5 hours-2 hours at most. making you like $25-30 dollars a shift. Sometimes you won't even get a free meal after your shift cause some driver took all the food earlier or they too done all their deliveries. Also the customers almost NEVER tip you. I have worked over a 100 shifts and made over 700 deliveries and i think i gotten tipped 5 times in total. Sprig simply discourage their customers from tipping. This really is an awful company to work for. They want drivers to delivery as quickly as possible to maximize their bottom line. They have a high turn over rate for their delivery drivers for good reason.

Pros
You do work as an independent contractor and pretty much work based on when you are available. Lunch and dinner shifts is mostly what is available.
Cons
Never had the chance to actually do a shift. Very disorganized and was initially told that lunch shifts would become available in Palo Alto soon over and over again. I dropped myself out of the database and then checked with them a few months later. Still no word on when lunch shifts would start. Also, unless you have your own smartphone, you basically have to lease one. And you pay for your own gas and maintenance of your car, which goes though a ton of wear and tear. Server ratings are really emphasized and are based on whether or not you get any shifts for the upcoming week. All in all, I wish I had known better before I tried to sign up to be a server. Complete waste of my time! Wouldn't be surprised if there is a high turnover rate.
