Student's are subjected to lot of non acedemic and non-profession related work. They are catered to keep them happy anr satisfied, not tl make them industry ready. Lately, young graduates are being hired to replace entire talented cluster of professionals that left srishti in mass resignation. New hires have no professional or academic creditials to teach and will result on recipe for problems

As an artist you can practice your art and also teach it, in fact you are encouraged to do it. Bring in projects and collaborate with students if you choose to. Also offers a great chance to work with other artists and with forms and mediums other than what you are comfortable with.
Cons
Teaching full time is a strenuous activity and it tends to take up a lot of your time. From writing up your own course content, classes, supporting students, assessments and other non academic work take up most of your time leaving you scrambling. Achieving a sensible work life balance is very very hard.
