    I worked at State of Nevada full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Access to training, fast-paced environment, challenging. After a year or two of state service, experience is viewed similar to a degree.

    Cons

    Lack of advancement due to seniority hiring rules. Thankless, no reward or benefit to high performance. Constant change to rules. Great for someone who just wants to fly under the radar and collect a check. High turnover

    Pros

    Decent pay, regular hours, steady income, vacation pay and sick time accrued. There is a great opportunity for advancement and growth with the State

    Cons

    Lots of policy and procedure changes on a daily basis. If you don't mind being mirco managed then this is the perfect career for you,
