    Pros

Great people, company tried hard to develop its employees but not always successful. Good location in London. Flat organisation, little hierarchy, easy to approach senior team as needed Flexible working hours

    Cons

Not the best salaries or benefits Benefits seemed to get worse over time relative to key competitors Office not the best, very small personal space Disorganised and chaotic at times

    Advice to Management

Sell the firm while you can

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Steel Business Briefing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The employees within this company are fun and outgoing. Definitely a great environment to work in. Global travel

    Cons

Co workers can be a bit distracting The price increases seem arbitrary Management have a hard time walking the line between being a boss and a friend.

    Advice to Management

Stay out of sales, refer leads to sales team and coach them as necessary.

I worked at Steel Business Briefing

    Pros

The people are really lovely, it feels more like a family. The location is great, right in the middle of the city and it's accessible from most places. It's very sociable. Not much competition from other companies suggests that it's a very positive environment to work in. Very international too.

    Cons

Work can get tough due to inefficient processes and products can get launched very quickly without there being too much planning or research. However, it does mean the company moves quicker and ideas can materialise really quickly.

    Advice to Management

As most staff are international, it would be great if there was a more flexible holiday work balance. I think the company should enable their staff to meet family commitments and this should be accounted for when considering holiday packages.

I worked at Steel Business Briefing

    Pros

    - Genuinely great people - Allowed to be as creative within budget and limits of the nature of work - Good communication throughout the company - Lots of contact with senior management and board members - Great place to start with lots of young people and lots of responsibility - Lots of opportunity to travel

    Cons

    - Not that many opportunities in career building - Disproportionate amount of work for some workers - Can be quite unprofessional (but sometimes that's not a bad thing)

    Advice to Management

It gives lots of responsibility to young people so I would recommend it if you're below 28 years old and looking to gain a lot of experience quickly.
