Pros

I was able to receive a decent hourly rate though not what I wanted but overall it was equitable to the amount of work I was asked to do. My co workers are nice and have manners most of the time. My work hours meet my commute restrictions.

Cons

Lack of communication from the corporate office with other locations about changes, updates etc. Provided with minimal Covid preventative supplies. There is a lack of standardized processes and policies. Depending on your position there is very little work /life balance . Sub par benefits and time of/vacation/PTO is lacking for the amount of time staff is required to work. Employees can not promote the brand if managers do not do anything to help promote internal team work, leadership or ownership of one's position. Seems you have to be young and pretty to move up in the company as experience and knowledge does not seem to matter. There are too many managers and managers do not take ownership of problems and resolve them....they prefer to pass it off on service or F&I or sales staff. Sometimes managers have staff do their duties so that they can read, play games on their phones or socialize with their spouses/family members that visit frequently.

Pros

Multiple car manufacturers that you can work for.

Cons

Long hours, constant pay cuts, more responsibilities, no rewards for over-achieving in your job. Corporate has no connection to the grunt workers, you are just a number, you are easily replaceable, if you don't like what they are doing, they tell you where the door is. No sick days, Only allowed to take your PTO in increments--Not a full two weeks at a time. Healthcare is still $350 a paycheck for someone single. Do not know how to properly take taxes out. Constantly have to take up slack for bad policy changes from clueless corporate. Nothing but the bottom dollar matters. If you know someone, you are guaranteed a job, even if you aren't qualified.

Pros

None! The place is a joke!

Cons

Step One pays you $14 an hr(calling it a draw) and when you get paid your commission they take back whatever you “earn” on your hourly. When I was hired Oct 9th I was told that for 90 days I would get my hourly pay & get to keep it plus my commission to help me get settled in at the job. Anyways, I was paid like they said in Nov for my Oct work. I got to keep the hourly & the commission. Then I realized I hadn’t get my commission check for Nov. this was on Dec 18th(usually paid on the 15th) so I went & asked my manager about it. At 2:30pm that day I was pulled in the GM’s office to let me know I wouldn’t be getting the commission check this month because it’s not how the pay plan is set up.(they keep the commish check if your hourly draw was more than the comish check)I informed him of what I was told he called the lady who I informed him told me & she said “I must have misinformed him” and he said he doesn’t know why I was able to keep both in November but I couldn’t keep the December one. That was $3000. They owed me and they felt they could just keep it after telling me one thing and doing something else so I quit.
