Leaving this company is the BEST decision I ever made.

-occasional free food -hotel discounts -will make you SO grateful for any other job you have -senior management (the good reviews you see) are well taken care of
Cons
-pay so low that you cannot afford the hotel discounts (you literally will make more just working at a mall) -no support with professional development (this company is ideal if you are looking for only experience and not looking for income or development.) -ZERO PTO or sick time for hourly employees (even the ones that have been there for 20+ years) -empty promises and zero follow through -expensive health insurance with minimal coverage (Rx still about $200+) -no respect of work-life balance. Management is not happy unless you work 50+ hours per week -they eventually doubled everyone’s job (managing sales for one hotel, to then managing for two) and refused to give any raise. -made everyone drive to work in the middle of a bomb cyclone snow storm, only to send them home 2 hours later without pay for the entire day. -would use grocery store gift cards as contest incentives, knowing it would work because employees struggled to pay for their own food. - you will NOT be promoted here. Period. Any person that achieved a higher role had to leave the company, and later come back and apply for the new role. Internal promotions were extremely rare -only senior management is taken care of -an old industry running on old practices

Great colleagues, OK benefits, Opportunities for growth are there if you're fine with being a doormat.
Cons
Poor pay, micromanaging, unprofessional leaders, Little to no work/life balance, "My way or the highway" culture, Consistently being told how to do your job by persons who have no experience in your field, Senior leadership care only about customer satisfaction with little to no regard for employee satisfaction.

Pros
Room for advancement in your career, lots of learning opportunities, my location had an excellent crew that felt like family, benefits were great.
Cons
Poor management of work load which led to very burned out employees, not a good work/life balance and lots of guilt tripping to get you to work more, they cut corners and added more work to workers they trusted without any pay increase leading to feeling overworked and under appreciated.

Pros
The camaraderie of the on-site property team. Fantastic people to work with. Advancement opportunities were given within the company's portfolio.
Cons
Low salary, low work-life balance, very involved (micro-managing) upper management and corporate. High turnover at the manager level led to a difficulty in sustaining a team culture.
