You have to be a good mix of blue collar & a salesman. Like all sales jobs including cars,real estate, insurance, energy, etc... Its takes great deal of patience to get the pipeline flowing. Its takes about a month to get the ball rolling.
The sales process can take long and commissions are only earned after the work is complete. The process includes a free home inspection, doing a file complain, then meeting the insurance adjuster to see if he/she agrees or disagrees with your analysis, then waiting for it to get approve, ordering supplies/labor, then collecting check once job is complete.
Commissions are based on your total after subtracting labor,supplies, & other small fees.
