I have been working at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stryker has one of the best working atmospheres I have ever been a part of. They know how to hire the right people and the people mesh together easily and well. They understand innovation and are great at identifying upcoming medical technology to help them continue to grow on a positive direction every year. Unlimited growth potential within any of its divisions once you are in.

    Cons

Competitive to get into and the entry level positions can be tough.

Attracts a lot of people who are competitive and sales oriented which is great to a point. Also due to the quick nature of the business, many people are trained "trial by fire" style which can be stressful. Finally with the competitive nature comes a lot of people who work outside normal hours for better or for worse.

I worked at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lunch, can’t think of anything else

    Cons

Poor leadership, hire and fire policy, no parking, cheap politics

    Advice to Management

There are people in the organization who do other things than making coffee for the Director/Senior Directors in SGTC. Like they work!! Respect your employees.

I have been working at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay scale is good, work culture is ok ok, events like family function, annual awards might attract employee.

    Cons

I can't say about other departments, but never join R&D communication department of Stryker if you have plans to upgrade your skills and want to change your stream, they will just create such negative environment for you that you yourself will think of leaving, they don't encourage you to learn anything new instead if they find that you are interested to learn something different then they will plan to make you quit, also, this team is women biased, if any women talk badly to you, that will not be considered negative but if you talk badly to any women you will have to face negative consequences.

    Advice to Management

If an employee joins your organization and want to switch to other stream, please don't play mind game to spoil his /her career, everybody has his/her career plans, also don't be a puppet that is driven by feminists, if a male employee complaints against a woman, woman can also be guilty.

    Pros

Flexible hours and great work life balance
    Friendly co workers
    Paymaster

    Cons

Years of experience rewarded over merit.
No innovation. Company believes in acquiring innovative companies rather than innovating itself. Lack of encouragement for process efficiency initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Focus on innovation and merit over politics
    Focus on real value creation
