I have been working at Sun Life for less than a year

    Pros

Awesome old building, decent pay for the work being done (which is pretty easy), hourly job means you don't feel pressured to do over time.

    Cons

Employees are micro-managed (time is entered by the minute!), no vacation for contract employees, repetitive job, office gossip, no encouragement from management for other careers, team is split between two office locations.

I have been working at Sun Life full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Fellow employees were good co-workers.

    Cons

Senior management didn't seem to understand the essential work that the lower level employees were doing. New schemes were created without consulting the people who were actually doing the work. Costly mistakes were made because of this blind spot.

I have been working at Sun Life full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people, nice location, spacious office

    Cons

likely no room for growth if you are starting off in a satellite office. You would want to move to head office for growth. They work you very hard. Raises are less than inflation yr after yr. It is hard to have your manager in another office than you, they do not realize how busy you really are.
