RN Case Manager
24 Dec 2015 - RN Field Case Manager in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
For the first time in my nursing career, by stepping away from the hospital setting I have reached a balance between by personal life and professional carer. I have a flexible schedule as long as I get my work done. I work from home 2 days per week. Also, I have great co-workers and a great manager. The salary is competitive in the mid 60K. Depending on the companies profit we get a bonus by April as long as I can prove that I have reached the goals previously discussed with my manager. You get 2 weeks off per year plus the holidays. I give a four star because in over all is a great company to work for,
Cons
The work processes are constantly changing and evolving, In one month they train you to perform a task in one way, the next month they change it and the following month they ask you to stop. Like in any other place the documentation is outrageous therefore I work an average of a 50 hrs per week. Case Managers salaried employee so we don't qualify for overtime.

Wonderful salary - willing to negotiate higher pay. Bonus are pretty nice each year. Benefits are amazing - best health insurnace I've ever had. Great co - workers and fun team of people to work with. Professional atmosphere. If you work hard, promotion is always an option. Work from home is the BEST benefit too!! Over all great company!
Cons
Long hours at times. Salary employee means you put an extra hours if the the work is there, and with turn - over, that will happen.

Cons
Constant change without analyzing how it would affect workflows for staff Virtual Micromanaging Zero department specific training-so you know how to do your job and the expectation 5-9 hour drives round trip 3-4x a week 3-4 hours of documentation Emails that BCC (blind copy) all upper leadership and demand you “reply all”.. ridiculous
