Pros

They will entice you with fancy trips (that you still have to pay for) and there are some incentives for first line staff.

Cons

They promote family above anyone else, skilled or not. They lie and offer you "promotions" that never happen. They drive away good talent. They have you LIE TO CUSTOMERS but PREACH TRANSPARENCY. No one on the management team is accountable so you can expect to be someone's escape goat at some point. They will fire you without warning, or make life so miserable you want to leave. They will change your schedule without warning. They demand 24/7 availability. They will call you all hours of the day and night when they need something, regardless as to what you have going on in your personal life. The technology often does not work and it's virtually impossible to get support. Overall - this place is unbearable.

If you have ever seen Margaret Heffernan's TED talk about 'Super Chickens' you would know the type of individual this person is. We have a great team at SureCall and there is always that bad apple in the bunch. But for every negative employee we are fortunate to get so many amazing people! Our people make our company, we are as great a they are!

Stressful Environment and Bad Management

Pros

There is a 15 minute shoulder massage once every other week.

Cons

The company has a fake front they put on to sound like they care about their team, but nothing could be further from the truth. They overwork their team on all levels, then pay minimum wage as they are extremely stingy in only offering $0.50 extra for valuable bilingual agents or overnight shifts. Industry standard wage for call centers in Alberta is $18 to $20 an hour, and they only pay $15. You would have to work at least a year to get $1 raise. Benefits are almost non-existent with no coverage and only $800 health spending account for an entire year for one person, or $1,500 for a family which would barely cover one dental visit. You're looked down on and discriminated against for taking any sick days and they have no tolerance for even the most serious life or health situations interrupting your work life. Management is disorganized and dysfunctional acting like bully kids in a schoolyard picking on and shunning those they don't like. The culture is one of secrecy, lies, miscommunication, empty promises, hierarchy, it's a "members only club" where very few will ever be allowed into the "inner circle". Hard work is not appreciated or recognized, just expected. There is no way to succeed, only fail.

Thank you for your feedback! SureCall's most valuable asset is our team, and we are sorry to hear that your experience within SureCall was anything else. SureCall bases it's standard wage on the average for a call center customer service representative. We do offer a health spending account that is available to our full-time employees and go over options that are available to them through the benefits. We understand that there are health concerns that our employees have and encourage our team to voice to us if there are specifics. That way, we can accommodate appointments and understand when you need the time off for recovery. The input of the team is always encouraged. The leadership is here to support the group as a whole, and we have a very open-door policy and are sorry to hear that was not your experience! We encourage your input to assist in understanding how we can improve for the future. Please do not hesitate to send your feedback directly to info@surecallcc.com as your feedback is important to us.

We always let our team know if they have an issue bring it forward. With the CEO council agents can speak directly to the CEO about their concerns or suggestions. We have nobody in a management today that are related to the owners, all Team leads and shift leads are external hires and worked their way up. That doesn't mean we won't ever put family into those roles, we are a family owned and operated business after all. We are sorry to have lost you, you sound like a really nice person :) As a former employee you may not understand how our company operates today.
