Good company, dedicated employees. Suzano is looking to transform the industry inside and out by setting an example for other less disciplined players.

Lack of solid processes, tends to not deliver service to customers, however they buy product because few competitors are located in Brazil.

- Decent benefits - Good work environment (won't last long though)

- Very unclear promotion policies (to say the least) - No value for experienced employees (most managerial and upper hiring come from outside) - One of the senior managers is borderline psychotic (lashes out at employees, is generally rude and impatient. Executive Director of sales). Wouldn't last a day in any company that doesn't tolerate this behavior. - A very sad excuse for HR. The BPs are lost, incompetent... or just don't care. Or probably a mix of all those.

Advice to Management

Top Management should be changed or fired. Especially the Executive Director of Sales. Middle management should be all renewed, better succession plans. Also, listen to your employees and workers. They are there for a reason.

- 1% of labors are trying to convince the top managerial team to change the mindset to absorb new concepts in business and management; - Good place for well-to-do workers.

Cons

- Extremely hierarchical company. You will meet thousand BOSSES and not leaders; - Never adopt or even hear your opinion or idea; - HR department is in charge to fill the papers out only; - Career evolution happens only if your superior quit or die; - They really do not care about employee personal life; - They developed an open space office, but you must remain in your desk in front of your boss!; - The... company does not have a clear culture or values and NEVER, NEVER try to purpose something... you will be in risk and you will receive a label described "arrogant" or "too much motivated person".

Advice to Management

Avoid this place if you would like to create your own career or if you would like to keep your brain in a full charge; the family history is amazing, but they are still using the old school management habits. You must invest money and time to start a deep change management as soon as possible to avoid high turn over employment. If you are trying to hire workforce from other business segment to support the... company's change management, keep those new people far from the old school bosses and protect them to control the conflicts.
