    Advice to Management

    To HR and thw management,

Leave the company..u shuld b shamed of working in such kind of company.

I worked at Syntel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing to be honest.. they pay higher compared to market value because good people dont join. One thing is they have ease down the formals. Change in management might lead to good time.

    Cons

Its hell out there. During my stay i failed to find a single employee friendly policy.
No work ethics, no healthy work culture, office politics and what not, largely due to very low levels set by their managers, probably most of them have not seen life outside syntel.
They ask around 70-80% of employee to submit document for H1B out of which very very less actually apply because they have this bond that they can not leave company until the visa result comes.
The quality of employee company has is very low compared to market.
One has very leas opportunities to grow.

If i sum up i observed it to be very lower level of service company. Fortunately it was very short stay for me. This is not a place for experienced person, they want some one to follow their instruction and expection set by illiterate managers.

    Advice to Management

    Need overhaul in management

I worked at Syntel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    World class environment and infrastructure
Good for freshers and people who do not want any challenges and growth in career.

    Cons

Canteen building is very big and beautiful, but the food quality is worst.
Salaries paid to employees are worst
Managers are not qualified and eligible, they have recruited managers from call centers and BPO (might be to cut the cost) to lead the teams of MBA's and CA's in finance domain, which is the biggest reason for attrition
HR do not have any powers, manager's word is the last (even if he / she is wrong)
Overall, I will join again only if Syntel is the last company on planet

    Advice to Management

Try to understand that Ground level employees are also (or mostly) required for growth and success of organization, there should be HR help-desk and raise the pay scale as well as recruitment standards of company...

    Pros

    Good take home salary.
Does not fire employees. that's because employees get out before that.
Other than that i don't think there is any Pros in working with this company.

    Cons

    Super biased management.
No opportunities technically or onsite wise.
    They politics in everything.
    No benefits at all.
HRs think as if they are doing a favor by doing their work.
    No work life balance.
Efficiency is rated based on your working hours.

    Advice to Management

Throw all the managers from Chennai branches out.
They are the main reason why 27 out of 29 people left from my batch by 2 years.
Since 2012 they are trying to be 1bn company but if they have still not become then these managers are responsible.
Everyone who are not good at politics they plan to leave this place ASAP.
Chennai branches have become such a place that if you are not from Chennai then they won't allow you to grow.

    Pros

Anyone can be eligible for Onsite.
Good company for lead as they don't need to do any work

    Cons

    1. Personal relationship matters rather than good performance.
    2. No growth for deserving candidate based on their performance
    3. Don't want to invest in quality.
    4. People get promoted based on personal relationship with upper management.
    5. If you are thinking ,you can grow with your performance then absolutely you are at the wrong place.
    6. Appraisal system is worst.
    7. Leaders are there with positions/ years of experience , not with their decisions ,vision and leadership quality . One can not expect good suggestion for those people.
    8. Expecting night shift with no management support in terms of cab, food , tea etc..
9.shifts @ 5: 00 PM are not considered for night shift
    10. Worst work culture with biased behavior w.r.t region.
    11. Due to worst leadership , from only one account around 53 employees resigned in one financial year and leaders get promoted to manager position, DM positions

    Advice to Management

Invest money on quality . good leaders , technology. rather than on those people who are there with an organization because of years of experience ,not based on their performance and leadership quality.

    2. Shuffle people from one account to another account by that way it would be beneficial for both employee and organization.

    3. 360-degree review process

    4. Increase salary as per market standard atleast.
