    Pros

    Talisman had a great environment based on good values. Pay and benefits were above average.

    Cons

    It expanded too fast and oil prices decimated the company.

    Great responsibility and opportunity to progress ideas.

    Cons

    Internal politics and lack of trust were hard to overcome.

    Advice to Management

    Repsol struggles to keep focused portfolio on mixed bag of assets. Talisman struggled with this before as well - time for change!

    Pros

    1. Respecting people and is free to speak up
    2. Get support for career development
    But was ended when Repsol acquired Talisman in May 2016 and the Management changed

    Cons

    As most of the asset are non-operated or JV thus the role is more managing asset thru Audit, Review and Monitor

    Amazing environment of exceptionally well trained and dedicated professionals. Spectacular environment to grow and develop your skills.

    Sometimes short sighted management strategies led to job cuts and misalignment of goals.

    The cost of rehiring staff is more than the short term benefit of layoffs.
