Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Tata BlueScope Steel full-time for more than a year
Pros
The TATA name Location - Head Office in Pune (Heart of Pune) Sales Executives/Managers get involved alot in there respective states marketing activities - thus there is an over all skill growth of the skills and outlook
Cons
Two pieces review Marketing followed by Sales For Marketing :- Marketing does nothing besides approving state budgets All marketing budgets are linked into the material cost, thus more the sale of a distributor (state) more is the budget the distributor has for marketing Distributors have their own marketing team on ground and the central marketing team never implements any marketing activity on their own. For example TVC. The central marketing will neither create the TVC nor will it final the agency with which the TVC has to be done. All this will be taken care by the distributors marketing team central marketing at TBSL can just give suggestions and approvals ( approvals they have to give as marketing budgets are linked with sales quantity) For Sales :- The sales team also has no major say in their business The distributors are so big that they dominate the local sales team (which is mostly 1 guy per state)
