I enjoyed the work and having an impact on the students I taught. Can chose your own work days Relatively negotiable rates (base is 70 per day most I got was 90) Different Schools to go to The consultants were very friendly and chummy. very supportive.

the Guranteed Work Scheme despite being offered and signed up to never saw any income from this when work simply wasn't there. the scheme was there so that if you worked for example 4 days a week continously and no work was available you'd get paid 3 days of day rate. Highly irregular work. Some weeks you could get 5 days of work others you'd get 1 day and sometimes. if you told your cosultant you didn't wanna work at a particular school they sometimes would only offer work for that school. the day rate was not good enough to off set days where no work was available. 70 for 6.5 hours work would mean you'd get less than 11 per hour. I'd expected more because we're are contractors and to cover transport costs. I'd say if you don't have to worry about income it may be a good place to keep you busy and earn some money. almost exclusively had single day work with very little in terms of work longer than a single day at a given school. work stability was incredibly low.

Nicole has been very very helpful throughout from the very first day of my journey. She had made the process very easy and she had been very supportive throughout. She is very helpful with excellent behaviour.

- Senior management need to listen to consultants when toxic branch managers are causing a high staff turnover - Old and ineffective sales techniques, very heavy on KPIs - If you bill a good amount, the commission structure isn’t rewarding of that - Concerning discriminatory language used in the office including management (not inclusive)

I joined Teaching Personnel officially a year ago after coming from a company who didn't make their staff feel appreciated or recognised. Since joining TP, I have felt welcomed, successful, and really happy in my role. I received a double promotion in my first 9 months of being here. One of the benefits is the commission structure being Team-based. The office environment is also second-to-none, everyone gets on with each other and we can truly say we are all friends in the office. The managers are great as well, and get motivated from seeing their team do well. In the summer, we also work 9-3 as a thank you from the company, and other school holidays we work 9-5 with reduced hours too.

Cons

I guess it's not really a downside to TP, but your promotions and growth of your desk is your responsibility. There is nothing that your manager or team can do to make you succeed. It's all on you, meaning that there is pressure to do well for your own sake (as there is in any other sales role).

Pros

I have been with the company for 6 years now. I started out as a Recruitment Consultant and when I returned from maternity leave was given a number of options to return to. I chose to come back as a part time candidate consultant and have no regrets. Every level of the company has been supportive and I love my role. The company rewards hard work and has a number of incentives.

Cons

Teaching Personnel have always responded to any feedback, so I don't have any cons. I don't feel like another recruitment agency would have supported my return to work as well as TP has.
