I worked at Terakeet for four years, and it has been years since I worked there but has been incredible to see how nothing has changed. I have a lot of people in my network who still work there - or did until they were laid off - and they all are talking about the same issues I saw in my time there when I started 10 years ago. If you hid the dates on the negative reviews on Glassdoor, I’d think they were people I knew then. There is an elitist group of backslapping minions who have been there for a decade and are praised by Mac and Pat - I don’t have to name them, everyone knows who they are whether you’re a current or former employee. And if you’re not one of them, yikes, too bad - good luck climbing the ladder! When I started there, they offered me a $27,000 salary - less than I’d make if I worked full time at a fast food restaurant. From the reviews, the abysmal pay has not improved. One reviewer said it best by saying “don’t just tell us we’re amazing, pay us like we’re amazing.” They are a revolving door of people leaving or getting fired and then they quickly rehire, it’s a cyclical blood bath there. Bright eyed and bushy tailed recent college grads are their hunting grounds for such low salaries - don’t fall for the trap like I did. You deserve to be paid a livable wage. In Jan 2023 and June 2024, Terakeet laid off large groups of folks across many teams, with the latter being a substantial group. In Jan 2023, among the folks laid off were a woman on maternity leave with her first baby and a pregnant mom. And in June 2024, they laid off a pregnant woman 24 hours before her maternity leave was set start and just five days before she was set to give birth to her first. They also laid off folks who have been with the company for MORE THAN A DECADE. They do not care about you, plain and simple. There’s nothing else I can say about that, they truly do not care about you as a person. They are not loyal to you, they will replace you. Terakeet is lipstick on a pig and always has been.
