RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at The British Army full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
wages job security travel sports adventure training block leave medical and dental
Cons
time away 24/7 pay management work flow work efforts block leave
Pros
A lot of room for growth
Cons
Deployments can ruin relationships and can be stressful
Pros
Intense responsibility from an early age, excellent training, learning organisation. Hardworking peers. You get what you put in
Cons
Nights and weekends and personal freedom take a back seat. This is a mission driven organisation. I would say this is a pro, but it's a con because it's a necessary health warning. It is not call of duty, and you do not log off. You commit for several years.

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at The British Army full-time
Pros
Have been in this job for 22 years now and have enjoyed it most of the time covering a range of jobs within the Royal Engineers including combat engineering, communications, explosive munitions clearance, explosive particle detection, recruiting and many other areas of the job that I do not have the space to include but it is now time to move on and try something new
Cons
Can involve a lot of time away from home which is ok when single but can prove problematic with a family.
"Best decision made at university"
RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at The British Army part-time for less than a year
Pros
Unique training experiences , with amazing people.
Cons
Be prepared to get cold and wet
Pros
Pension is great as there's no contribution. And can draw it from 40.
Cons
Working with the civil service is a let down.
