What are your colleagues talking about?
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
A fast-paced, global culture with great work/life balance and colleagues that are smart, kind, and collaborative. Leadership is transparent, and there is a true sense of shared vision across the company - a product that has the potential to really make an impact!
Cons
Pay could be better (but benefits are great). The company has also moved to a fully remote model (only a negative if you'd prefer to be in-office).

Pros
Leadership is transparent, great work/life balance, culture, values.
Cons
Business model is not properly built, future development is not a lot
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Interesting fields. The academic foundations of the company are pretty solid
Cons
Absolute chaos. Lack of structure. Clueless management. Careless HR department. Poor technology and product. The new Product and Tech teams have been filled with a bunch of bullies who can’t collaborate with the rest of the business. You can’t make progress when you shield an entire department from the consequences of their actions. There are just too many people in these departments who have been protected by the leadership team, yet they contribute nothing to the bottom line.

A review you can trust vs. glowing reviews posted by management
12 Jan 2022 - Senior ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Global organization- Company has growth potential; very motivated employees - Smart, hard-working, and collaborative colleagues - Some interesting challenges; ability to make a significant impact - Fast paced; a crash course in change management - The vast majority of leadership and employees are open to change; those who thrive are flexible and open to ambiguity. Those who seek structure/direction have a more difficult time.
Cons
- Too many layers for a small company; more political than other companies its size - Immature internal functions and processes as company centralizes its operations - Top-down communications poor; high-level CEO directives sometimes add to confusion; lack of transparency; CEO surrounded by yes men and women - Low product (vs. services) orientation at the top and across the company - Inexplicable lack of attention on employees and employee well-being during COVID; all attention on investors (i.e. cashing out) - a major distraction for the business, and new hire onboarding; Also, employees were not taken care of during the pandemic (e.g. docked a half-year bonus) - Lack of career development pathing + investment; little to no room for growth unless you are taking an entry-level role - Inequitable compensation across employees, including women - In some departments: Promotions driven by favoritism from direct managers versus merit - Highly variable work-life balance - depends on department and manager - Important initiatives (D&I, mental health) are largely employee led with little to no backing from the company
Great to see your feedback - both your positive experiences and ways you hope to see improvements. Thanks for sharing! We pride ourselves on having a relative flat organization in function so some of that feedback is surprising. Having too many managers and layers can significantly impede productivity and results, and so we are focused on maintaining a flat organization where possible to help fuel and unlock our global talent to its fullest. Part of our transformation over the last few years has also been to shift our focus and be more and more product oriented. Both services and product must work hand and hand, and increasing the focus on our product has already helped us progress to our current chapter - Expansion Mode. You are correct we have more recently centralized some of our operations. That is bound to have some "growing pains" when any company takes that step, and we stand behind it as the right move in our strategic journey. We are on the other side of it now and are better off for it! We are small but mighty so many of our initiatives are employee led but that doesn't mean they are not backed by RepTrak or leadership - just the latter! We trust the team to take on important and critical aspects of the business and crush it. Promotions & compensation are diligently assessed to ensure equity. Every single employee compensation is reviewed twice per year vs. their own comp history and performance, the market, their peers, etc., and including a gender specific analysis annually. Promotions are manager driven and discussed in a roundtable format twice a year with a cross-functional group of RepTrakkers to ensure we are collecting diverse views and feedback as managers assess who is ready for the next role. Our career paths and career pathing guides/worksheets are used frequently by the team and available for anyone interested in taking the next step! We are always open to feedback to help make our talent management better!

2022 is difficult for any business. But, some of the recent strategy decisions haven't always been clearly explained and it is not clear what strategy the company is following.
