Pros

theres a lot of parking around the office and thats really a big think in LA. the pay is ok, but dont think you'll get promoted. theres a fun sports team that they talk a lot about at staff meetings. a lot of people do interesting things on the side like music or art.

Cons

its really hard to explain the mood at thinkwell. on the one hand anyone can say anything but if you do you will be among the first to be laid off in the next round of layoffs and there are always layoffs coming up. a lot of people work really hard at thinkwell even though they know their work will never be used in the end. if they could say what they think at meetings they would say that their current work is not what the client needs and offer alternatives, but again, layoffs. so most people just do the work theyre told to do even though they know it will never be used. theres been a lot of restructuring lately. the main difference now is that you must act like its made a huge difference and made everything better if you dont want to be part of the next round of layoffs. attitude is really important at thinkwell. they have an employee improvement program. some senior designers went through it. but when regular employee try to do it the company realizes that while they are working on their self-improvement project theyre not making any money for the company and again it makes them first candidates for layoffs. id advise anyone to stay away from the employee improvement program unless youre already very senior. pretty much everyone there is looking for another job in some way or another except for the most senior designers or most senior management.

Don't work here.

Pros

Generally, it is a pretty laid back work environment with opportunities to draw, mingle, and make friends.

Cons

Don't work here, the production staff is often tasked with repetitive mindless work. They steal entertainment company ideas, reverse engineer technologies from their competition, hire international students to represent the company as local brands, and practice borderline unethical hiring processes for the sake of profit driven motives. There are a few toxic and poisonous employees in the company-they just want a job, and they'll backstab newcomers to keep their job. The toxic employees can't work with other's because they are one dimensional. The company also uses imposter titles that require professional licenses in the states, but aren't recognized when working internationally. After meeting the people, management, and seeing business operations. All their internet presence is forged by their staff and marketing team. What happens behind the scenes, is far what the company claims to be. Please consider another place if you are looking for a job/internship
