I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Very supportive colleagues and working environment. (aka no "jerks" policy)
    - Work in a team with knowledgable and inspiring technical people, which you can learn new things from
    - Project teams always carefully crafted to have a higher percentage of seniors and mid level developers as compared to juniors (aka your project will probably go smoothly and no death march)
    - Deployment of software is always through the automated Continuous Integration/ Deployment pipeline (aka no fear to release new version software, and no staying back late after working hours to fix deployment issue)
    - Get to be assigned to different projects, which means you get experience in many different languages and technologies to beef up your resume
    - This is a consulting job, so we have the chance to improve your tech communication skills, as you get to interact with clients (not a job where you just code), which will definitely be valuable in your future career.
    - There are often office events, and get togethers where we can interact with other teams, (aka: no silos)
    - Generous salary, and other benefits where the company foots your mobile and internet bill

    Cons

    - Not really a con, but due to the supportive environment, you will not get direct pressure from the higher ups to improve yourself. So over here it is important to plan your career aims and have the self motivation to stick to it.
    - As your fellow colleagues are always pushing the limit, this is not a place for someone who does not like change or getting out of their comfort zone.

    Advice to Management

To give a clearer path to advancement in the company

I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a business analyst at ThoughtWorks for the last year, and have a total of 6 years of work experience in product strategy and marketing in startups.

    1. Your team will be very supportive for your learning and growth - I am an Economics & Business student, but was quick onboarded to working with devs in a tech company
    2. Great work culture, with good flexibility especially for working or new mothers
    3. Does not work like a typical off-shore IT services company - will work with customers on a daily basis
    4. The office has a nice casual feel, with TT tables and foosball. Lunch & breakfast provided by the office - which is a great plus
    5. You will have interactions with ThoughtWorkers across offices in India and the world via trainings and even projects - should be open to traveling
    6. There are opportunities to switch roles - I know a colleague who switched from a QA to a PM and a Dev who took on an operational role in the office
    7. You will get opportunities to solve critical business problems in companies and work on new technologies using AI, ML (depends on the project you are assigned to though)

    Cons

    1. You have limited ability to influence the business strategy of the product, since it is a services company
    2. While the compensation is competitive, it does not come in league of companies such as Microsoft & Google
    3. Your customers can be across the world - and hence, there may be a need to take calls later in the evening i.e. morning time in America

I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Very good peers, mentors
Good and tasty food (breakfast, lunch, snacks)
    Work from home
Good travel options (domestic + international)
    A very good learning environment
    No hierarchy
    Flexible working hours
Community activities are always conducted with energy
    Nice team outings
    Great opportunities to grow
Lots of indoor games (TT, carrom, Chess, Jenga etc)

    Cons

Lots of Politics (mostly in Hyderabad)
People are more comfortable to talk in Telegu, so other people sometimes feel lost
People are biased to certain decisions
As people are too friendly, sometimes they don't provide genuine feedback

    Advice to Management

Don't be biased to regional people/language.
Try to reduce politics inside the office premises
