I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

The only good thing is the employee discount

      Cons

      - company does not appreciate employees, no work life balance - People left the company (either fired or found a better opportunity) and the company does not fill those vacancies. The ones left have to pick up all the work with no salary increase or compensation. - No bonus - No career advancement opportunity at all. Because you are given too much work to do. Of course, you are unable to excel since it's way more...

      Advice to Management

      - Provide better compensation to your workers instead of firing them to keep cost down. - Turnover is too high and this is a bad sign for the company. - Company is unable to retain talent.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Great history and brand recognition Product is beautiful and customer service is top notch Opportunities to visit other locations for training or assistance

      Cons

Basic retail environment complaints--competitiveness, sales professionals are immature at times, "customer is always right" attitude even whey they make ridiculous claims. Stores place customers first, then sales professionals, then support staff, then management team. I do not necessarily disagree with this line of thinking but as an ASM I did not feel enough support being a last thought.

      Advice to Management

Follow through on research from the results of the employee surveys instead of just creating initiatives to make it appear that the problem is being fixed.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than a year

      Pros

History of the Brand, Training, Employee Discount.

      Cons

A polite but insincere culture. Store Managers are micromanaged. HR does not support Managers which makes Managers ineffective and therefore not respected by their employees.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

The discount is worthwhile. Excellent insurance. Fun environment that attracts great people. Opportunity for growth if you can relocate or live in NYC.

      Cons

Terrible work/life environment!!! While that is expected with retail hours, what might surprise you is the work never stops! If you are off, expect to receive phone calls and texts from employees, customers and managers and expect to be readily available to help. Expect to be required to check your emails several times a day while one vacation and your day off. Sales team is exceptionally compensated which does help...

      Advice to Management

Creating new programs for accountability does not reduce the workload of your management and support staff. Stop reducing headcount and start reducing workloads! Stop rolling out new programs without taking away old ones. Honor and recognize those at the front lines and reward them or you will continue to lose top talent to luxury competitors.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Fast paced and versatile environment with opportunity to take risks and implement new ideas while maintaining high levels of company standards. Company is progressive and forward-thinking, but maintains its reverence as one of the oldest American companies.

      Cons

Turnover can be high in retail environment, sales are also challenging in today's economy. Remaining motivated as a member of management will be difficult if you rely on monetary compensation (if you do not you will find the most rewarding experiences come from helping your employees find success).
