I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic VP with great culture, emphasis on group harmony and learning

    Cons

Few employees leave this company, very hard to get promoted to the next level; choice employer for mothers looking for work life balance. Not a place to grow your career if you have any level of ambition.

    Advice to Management

Invest in developing your high level talent and don't reward tenure over ability

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work/life balance, comfortable nice work environment, nice people to work with, great iconic brand to work for, nice discount

    Cons

Very small raises year over year- less than cost of living even with high PMP review results, very hard to move up- really feel like you can only move laterally,

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employee's growth & investing in strong people, Tiffany's is a revolving door because they refuse to stay competitive and instead waste everyone's efforts training people just to lose them a year or two later

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The brand recognition is outstanding. The company is looked at as being the best of the best. Most people have a great work life balance.

    Cons

Pay is not the greatest. No formal training whatsoever. Raises are small if any. Very political. Way to much work and responsibilities and not enough employees. Company will not replace people when they leave or get fired.

    Advice to Management

    Take a training course.

If your manager dislikes you, you can count on remaining in your role forever

    Advice to Management

    Look for talent in-house

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Iconic brand name, the benefits package. Pay is above average if you had spent a number of years working for the company. The products are uniquely designed. Generous discounts for employees.

    Cons

IT management has changed recently and has ruined the once great culture. Long time employees are not respected and often passed over by people hired from the outside that are less qualified. The IT Department is extremely top heavy, with a number of managers that do not have any direct reports. On the management level they reward incompetence. Just because someone has been with the company for 30 years does not mean...

    Advice to Management

Go back to what made the company great. Fix the culture ASAP. Wake up and see you are losing quality people. Listen more closely to long time employees, they may surprise you.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get a nice discount on in-store items, but it's work so it's not always fun.

    Cons

You won't have any problems if you get your work done and hopefully have nice co-workers.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I met some amazing individuals while working here. I have to say my peers were the best part. People were respectful and encouraging. The company is well respected and environmentally sound.

    Cons

Promotions are hard to come by and so is training unless you're a manager. The office environment can be quite toxic depending on who you work for. The work life balance is informally established by your boss so it can vary. People who address issues with HR or upper management are hurt in the long run. It's better to just stay quiet or leave.

    Advice to Management

Management should be more accessible, transparent and a more cohesive unit.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good discount, summer hours, prestigious brand

    Cons

Your time is not valued - expect to put in many hours on projects that will never be reviewed, or work late into the night on an assignment that's due the next morning but then come to find out the meeting is rescheduled to another tbd time; and it will all be your fault.
