RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Tillys part-time for less than a year
Pros
- My location was popular, so there was plenty of chances to develop people skill w/customers and teamwork w/ employees - Most sales associates eventually end up doing everything around the store, so it doesn't get too boring or monotonous - Change of good manager making your day easier
Cons
- Paid minimum wage in my state - Chance of very inadequate managers making your day more stressful
Pros

Cons
Minimum wage was the only downside

Negative OutlookI have been working at Tillys
Pros
The discount is okay at 30% off.
Cons
Low pay. They don’t think anyone deserves a raise, even when minimum wage goes up. They barely give stores enough payroll to provide adequate staffing, but expect customer service to be perfect. They control everything you do in the store and watch you on the cameras constantly. There is no creativity or free thinking involved. They blame you when people steal from the store, because obviously you weren’t doing your job properly if people steal, even though there is nothing you can do about it. They don’t like it when you talk to co-workers or have any fun at work.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Tillys part-time for more than a year
Pros
Make friends, sometimes have cool managers, can be fun, not a super hard job, easy to learn, get a small discount.
Cons
Company does not care about employees especially not sales associates, managers can expect too much of sales associates, pays minimum wage, fairly small discount (30% where I worked but you can’t use it on any sale items or deals) REALLY high turnover rate for employees- people constantly quit and new kids aren’t usually trained very well so everyone else has to clean up after them (I worked there for close to 2 years and I was the only employee who worked there that long, even the managers had all quit and new ones had been rehired during my time there)
Pros
Tilly's was a fun company to work for. I enjoyed working with my co-workers and the managers back when I worked there, but had to leave due to other opportunities.
Cons
Hours based on commission, minimum wage when I started
