Worst company I have worked upon | High shop, vapid food

      Pros

You can leave or come early by 15 minutes every day. You can leave or come early by 2 hours, 2 times a month.

      Cons

You might be hired for some advance technologies but you'll get to work upon the oldest technologies. Many of their projects has been developed in old technologies. You'll never get this TVP (total variable pay) until you lick manager shoes or there is no high dependency on you. If you decide to left the organization you'll get only 15-20% of your TVP(total variable pay). Manay time you'll not the TVP quarterly, you might get this half-yearly but you offer letter states you'll get this quarterly. The company gives you the opportunity to work only 8.5 hours but your manager will give you work in a way that you can't finish that in 10 hours and that's why people spend around 9.5 hours in the office. They don't follow Agile. They have their own advance Agile and that is whenever a manager wants, the team will have standup otherwise let it go. Manager can come to you any time to ask whats going on and doesn't matter how good you are doing still your manager will realize you that you are duffer.

      It was exciting!

      Pros

The challenging work environment pushes you to your limits and helps you discover your nascent skills. A vibrant and fun place to work with great exposure

      Cons

The pay is minimal, with the concept of variable pay eating into your hard-earned income. A strong sense of hierarchy prevails and the senior management gets the biggest pie of the profit.

      Great Place to work

      Pros

Lots of HR activity. No pressure of work so you'll get enough time to learn new things and eventually to implement those. Team outings, training etc.

      Cons

Good amount of your CTC is part of variable pay, out of which you get only 70 % max as a total variable pay.

TimesJobs - A company still in Jurassic Age. Its a strict NO-NO!

      Pros

None that I could notice except for the fact that things are so bad that if you can find a way to somehow find a way to get things done, you could become an instant rockstar for the company!

      Cons

Exceptionally poor quality of talent specially in the engineering team. There are no leaders. The attrition is super high and over the last 12-15 months most of the good people have left for greener pastures. One or two decent guys still left but I am sure they would leave by the mid of this year. There are teams in which more people have left in the last 12 months than the total number of people in the team itself. Imagine that! The HR will fool you with a 15% variable and inflate your CTC. But this amount is never paid on time. HR will also tell you that most people get 90-100% variable. That is not true! People who have resigned never get paid. The FnF is a pain and the HR never responds. The official time to get your FnF is 90 days! BUt you will never get that on time. It could be 6 months to 1 year. And they will never give you the variable with the FNF. You see they will never pay you the variable for the time you have worked in the company in case you resign. People have lost 6-8 months of variable pay because of that. Also, Magicbricks has been hived off as a separate company and TJ and Simply Marry have been left to rot. I wouldnt be surprised if the CEO decides to shut it down. It has happened in the past with Times Shopping where most people were asked to leave and similarly with other failed Times ventures like BoxTV, MensXP, Guylife, Healthmeup, and may more... HRs might also try to fool you with how TimesJobs is now part of Times Internet. This means access to all other portals for internal job shifting. But trust me, no one has managed to get a transfer ever. Why TJ is a part of Times Internet is because it is a loss making unit and if its books are merged with TIL, Times Internet will save on taxes! There are many other things I could talk about, but if all of the above is not enough to give you the true picture then nothing is. Join TimesJobs at your own risk!
