On campus and worked around class schedule. Allowed for free meals anytime during work. Could work on homework and assignments during downtime.
Having co-workers who were either not qualified or did not properly do their tasks.

Family oriented, employee tuition benefit let's you get a higher education. Advancement opportunities are good.
The wrong manager can hurt the progress of the university.

The other employees here are great to work with and it is a fun atmosphere to be a part of.
The work can be a little tedious at times.

Better than most of the ones any of my friends talk about. There's a healthy amount of leniency between most students and professors that leads to a very "chill" feeling to the whole place. Doesn't feel like anyone's after you, and really allows you to focus.
Same as a lot of colleges, to some extent. General education courses have no place in any curriculum.

- Limited to 20 hours a week due to the job being a federal work study

They give you Free food Nice faculty
Low Pay Management- from top (corporate) to student services, the managers are completely out for themselves and put a heavy load on their staff.1

A lot of the staff is friendly, you get to meet a lot of nice students, it's close to the dorms so I don't have to travel too far to check-in. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
Nothing that the school can really do for this, but, since you will be handling calls, you will have to speak to some unsavory people. But that is made easier by the boss, who, if you are ever struggling with a call, will swoop in to help!

Often feels like an extended family. Lots of support from staff. Medical benefits have been great. Don't seem to hold a grudge if you leave. Will often welcome you back if things don't work out.
Salary's do not compare to industry and therefore great staff leave for more money. Often push for "emergency" information but then never hear about follow through. Not many opportunities for growth professionally or to increase pay. Professors don't earn vacation time. Are expected to respond to students within 24 hours therefore basically working 7 days a week. Schedule mandatory activities during breaks making it hard to take time off. President of University seems disconnected.4
