RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at UCLA Health full-time for less than a year
Pros
Great pay and super supportive and positive work culture at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. In my experience so far, UCLA Health really walks the walk when it comes to their mission and values. Nurses, Admins, IT, and Supervisors all work together as a team, and it's fun to be at work, even when circumstances get stressful. Questions, concerns, and suggestions are welcomed and listened to so that any opportunities for improvement can be taken advantage of. Despite being in a job that could easily feel thankless and super repetitive, I'm incredibly happy to go to work everyday.
Cons
I don't mind it, but some might see this as a con: working in the Admin Float Pool does require some level of flexibility with your schedule. After a couple of weeks, though, you are welcome to apply to permanent jobs within the company as an internal applicant. So if the float schedule really isn't your bag, you can pursue another position.
Pros
-great benefits and opportunity for job growth
Cons
-salaries are not comparable to private institutions

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at UCLA Health part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Great pay. Pension. No intimidation by employers. Strong nurse union. Lastly, they have a lift team and phlebotomy!
Cons
No free employee parking. You have to pay for parking at all UC sites. Also we were out of ratio during the covid pandemic.
