Flight benefits was the only thing good about United but standby can be annoying depending when you decide to travel

Managers and supervisors can be very unprofessional and have no knowledge in what they are doing . Favoritism throughout the company , doesn’t matter how good of an employee you are you still won’t grow within this company unless you are friends with management . They don’t care about your mental health here and will write you up for any little thing even if you are sick you will get a point for it . Pay is very low and you will not get any type of raise here . You could’ve been here for years and still get paid the same as someone who just started . You will not have a life outside of United at all . Very draining and depressing. I would not recommend . Money hungry company who overworks their employees and does not appreciate nor care for the employees . Oh and if you are a minority be prepared to get treated low . During covid they did not follow protocols to keep employees safe . They waited last minute to follow ppe. So many employees passed away due to covid and none of the upper management cared or even acknowledged it . Sick sick . I’ve been so happy since I’ve left this hellhole and am blessed to have finally started a great career for myself .

Flight benefits - however these are no better than any other airline

The CEO is rolling down on his leaders and has turned UAL into a political machine - making statements about firing employees who cannot or will not get the vaccine as "its the right thing to do." - all the while, vendors/contractors (who stand right next to UAL employees who were mandatoryed into a vaccine in order to keep their job) are not mandated to get the vaccine and there are as many vendors working at UAL as true employees.
