Thank you very much for your feedback! Parking can definitely be difficult in some locations and there are definitely employees who participate in the various car pool groups at UnitedHealth Group. Annie W., Sr. Talent Community Manager, UnitedHealth Group

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Many benefits at UHG: 1. Work from Home 2. Work life balance (minimum work which you can complete in 3/4 days) 3. Flexible timings 4. Health Insurance covered 5. Quarterly outing/lunch 6. Many Learning opportunities (Tuition Reimbursement available upto 50K per year) 7. Transport facility

    Cons

Company is too good but the newly hired management is from Infy/TCS/some Indian MNC and changing the working culture of UHG. 1. One sided management 2. Lot of politics/favoritism 3. Manager/leads doesn't encourage your passion, everytime they care about their safe side 4. Poor ratings & hikes/RRP (this effects because of favoritism) 5. When the company switched to OGS (Optum Global Solutions) many things changed compared to the benefits of having at UHG.

I'm glad there were many benefits for you while you worked for UnitedHealth Group. Thank you for sharing. It can be difficult when there are transitions with the organization, but I've found it helpful to grow a network of people to surround myself with. We wish you the best!

    Pros

At UnitedHealth Group, they provide several types of pension and welfare benefits. Countless companies in the United States, like UnitedHealth Group, sponsor group health plans, through which a large percentage of each worker's health insurance premium is covered by their employer. These contributions are tax deductible for companies and tax-free for employees. UnitedHealth Group provides health, dental, and vision plans. UnitedHealth Group also provides short-term disability insurance for accidents or illness, long-term disability insurance, group life insurance, and death benefits, which cover certain causes of death. Employer-provided retirement plans help to secure a dependable stream of money later in life. UnitedHealth Group offers defined contribution pension plans. With a defined contribution pension plan, companies help employees save and invest for retirement.

    Cons

They do everything they can to make sure you don't qualify for a raise and the company operates like high school, if your not a favorite you can not get promotions or interviews.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing is best to work with UnitedHealth Group compare to fortune top employers. Being a Health Insurance company, employee insurance policy is very bad, worst.

    Cons

Employee discrimination, there is only favoritism for Information Technology department's employee they are. UnitedHealth Group does not provide equal facility for every employee. Only Operation department work in night shift, worst. 9.5 hours shift. 8.5 working hours. Instead of 8 hours. Human resources services are superfluous. Thy don't understand the employee query, don't provide the solution. Favoritism in promotion. Girls get promoted easily. affairs with Manager and seniors. Very low salary for entry positon. No transportation allowance. Employee discrimination is too high between employees facilities. If you are junior or entry level profile senior's don't respect you, UnitedHealth Group does not value their bottom employee. If there would an option for Zero rating I would be rating Zero rating. As per my experience working since two years with UnitedHealth Group, overall rating *.
