      Pros

Pros, i can't think of any here. You can work from home.

      Cons

      1. Absolutely No work Life Balance, these guys in the projects needs constant overlap with teams in US so you have to be on call in nights. They say you start late but they will put meetings in Morning and say you can take it from Home. 2. Variable Pay, you wont get your variable pay on that cycle, if you joined company after 20th Sep. So they will gulp your 5 months' variable pay. Also variable pay is never given more than 80% here, neither they will pay your arrier. 3. Dull people, absolutely dull people with no enthusiasm everyone is dead here. 4. Car Parking, they wont give you car parking if you are anyone less than Grade 29, so you can't even drive to office if you want park 1km away from office and pay 20rs per hour. 5. Outdated Technologies, the technologies used are from 2004. 6. Average age of people in this company is 40. I am having 8years of experience and I feel like a fresher here. 7. Notice period, ridiculous notice period of 90days. Seriously they call this a product based organisation. This is my first review on Glassdoor. And Optum is my 4th Company. I would like to tell you only join this company if you love absolutely nothing about your current job, because you will regret in every possible way after joining this company. Don't trust me if coming to give an interview have a look at yourself.

      UnitedHealth Group Response

      Enterprise Talent Community Manager

Thank you for writing a review and I absolutely understand your concerns. The leadership team does take employee feedback VERY seriously. With the implementation of change and to address feedback, a lot of different teams are involved and that does take time, especially when it needs to be done well the first time around. We will take your feedback and will share it with the correct departments. Best, Mohit S.- Sr. Talent Community Manager, UnitedHealth Group.

WFH. that's too if manager agrees. u need to be lucky to get a cool manager, and if u got one. job in uhg will be the best in ur life

      Cons

Well i joined just 6 months back. and i am moving on. lets start 1. Noida Location is such faulty even Uber , ola does not Ply after 7. 2. they have 9.5 hour shift and their transport makes it 12 hour daily . u feel like a labour 3. there are no HR in this company. manager is the king. even a print request goes to manager for approval. 4. managers do not have any planning. unrealistic timelines. nobody has knowledge of application. 5. meeting meetings and meetings all baseless. building castles in air. 6. no work life balance for me. worked everday 14 hours for a month and then manager says justify ur OT. 7 . they trap u on money dont fall into trap. its fortune 6 only for money. they are nothing in other fields when i talk about IT

Thank you for taking time in providing us feedback about UnitedHealth Group. I am sorry that you did not have a good work experience with us. I agree that the Noida office is far, but we are a growing company so we need the space to house all our talents. As for the issue with managers, we have a designated department called HR Direct which handles all employee related grievances. I wish you the best on your future endeavors and thank you for sharing your talent with us! - Gail, Talent Community Manager

      Pros

Award recognition Training ...you will learn lot of leadership quality and lot of training attend oppetunity

      Cons

First thing Optum Global Solution is not Optum, OGS is just a part of it. 1.No work life balance 2.No seating location, you have to struggle to get a seat and work. you will get seat for 11am to 8:30 pm and you will not have any seat after that still management will ask you to work 2:30 pm to 12 am shift 3. In IT Management will ask you to attend all meetings after office hour and every day you have to attend meeting at 10 pm, 11 pm but you will not allow to work at 2:30 pm to 12:00 am shift as it has allowance if you are grade 27 and above. 3. Getting bike parking sticker or car parking sticker is very painful..you have to wait for 3 to 4 year. Means you are bound to pay for office cab an come to offic in cab. 4. you have to work overtime but not allowed to add more than 6 hour overtime in PPM Optics. Cheating government by showing wrong information to them for Labour Law 5. no team outing on week days, if you want to go for team outing for a day then it must be weekend 6. worse security policy to login to laptop..if you are oncall an want to login to laptop to fix any issue then minimum 30 min it will take. below is the process: a. first you have to login using your smart card 5 min b. Then using RSA token you have to login your wifi or internet c. your net will be checked by another app which will ask password again to validate 10 min d. Then you will have RSA token to login to virtual environment which sometime it will take 10 to 15 min Just imagine the situation and you have 15 min to join a warroom to solve issue. 7. its shame to tell its a insurance company...Insurance is very bad 8. worse thing is IT and call center seats together. so you can imagine what will happen. so its not a IT company and don't expect those facility. 9. Onsite,,travel option ...forgot it

      Business Outlook

      Pros

There is nothing to consider pro in this organisation. If you just want to do timepass for few months and not much serious for a career you can stay there.

      Cons

I have worked there for around 4 years. Very exploiting management. Untrained and biased leadership. No work life balance. Worst work environment. No career growth, no personal or professional grooming, night shifts. I highly regret spending my time there. Human Resource management is also biased that makes operations management to do whatever they like to do or exploit as they want. It's an honest advice.. please avoid this organisation if you want to move ahead in your career or establish yourself.

      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good compensation, HR processes are strong, Appreciation to employees for good work

      Cons

Stressful Work Environment. No Work Life Balance. Managers held employees down the line responsible for events which are out of control. Unrealistic timelines and targets. Expect the employees to work 24/7. Managers torture the employees and people down the line are compelled to leave the job. The system used is outdated making it difficult for the new employees to adapt it. Poor infrastructure.
