    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at University of Birmingham full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

A great place to do research and collaborate with other scientists.

    Cons

University as a whole is not good at looking after or retaining their staff or postgraduate students. Little or no support with issues such as bullying mental health issues . All efforts are focused on attracting new students and staff with specific backgrounds to boost ratings and image. Current staff in my department don't even have anywhere to eat lunch.

    Advice to Management

More focus on the well being of current staff is needed.
